The historical centre of the municipality of Bibbona is characterised by its charming maze of narrow streets and medieval stone-paved squares. Of particular note is the beautiful 11th-century parish church of San Ilario, with its original trapezoid shape.

The church preserves an original part from the Romanesque period. Inside are two ancient marble stoups and a precious painting, the Madonna del Rosario.

Also worth a visit is the Renaissance church of Santa Maria della Pietà, with its characteristic Greek-cross plan, located right at the entrance to the village, inside which is a beautiful 14th-century Pietà and beautiful 17th-century marble furnishings.

The façade of the church of San Giuseppe bears a coat of arms of the Vallombrosian order, testifying to the ancient presence of the monks.

The medieval seat of the municipality bears witness to the rich traditions of civic life here, collected in the municipality's historical archive.

Leaving the medieval village, we approach the coast, where around the 18th-century fort - built on the sea to defend the area from pirate raids - one of the Etruscan Coast's most popular tourist resorts has risen and developed: Marina di Bibbona.

As far as Bibbona Turismo is concerned, the beaches of Marina di Bibbona - often awarded Blue Flags and Sails by Legambiente - are a destination for tourists who love relaxing holidays in contact with nature.

The long, wide sandy beach, at times shaped by dunes and Mediterranean maquis, is bordered by a clear sea and a splendid pine forest.
